This is the Real Me… Being Authentically You

Parenting Pathway Podcast Volume 1.2

Authenticity is:

  1. The quality of being genuine; real;
  2. an origin supported by unquestionable evidence; verified;
  3. one’s true nature or beliefs.

The courage to live authentically is not natural in this comparison-based society. But we would challenge you to consider authenticity in a broader concept than just looking perfect on social media and being a mess at home. This week’s conversation is about living a life illustrating every day, God’s grace in your life and the lives of the people and family around you.

We have the luxury of working closely with two very special ladies, Morgan Davis, and Sheena Creek. These ladies work as part of our early childhood team as well as mentor and love on the students in our High School Ministry. No matter who Sheena and Morgan spend time with, there is no pretense of who they are and the message they want to share of love, grace, and how God has worked in their lives.

We first fell in love with them as they shared their lives and family with us on Social Media. Both are amazing moms of young kids who and are not afraid to let you see the laundry piled on the sofa. But we grew to truly admire them as they have shared their stories and lives with people in need of hope. After meeting Morgan and Sheena we know you will love them too.

Join us as we talk about how to get real and be comfortable in your own skin. Authenticity can’t be copied. You can’t be who you are not. It requires us to focus on who we are, not who we are not.

Left to Right, Pastor Dave Carl, Morgan Davis, and Sheena Creek.
